Koyama Ramen Shop visit

This evening my friends and I ventured to Sobudai-mae for dinner at the Koyama family ramen shop. Not only was the food great, but everyone was really friendly even before they discovered we were News and Koyama fans. So this is a brief report and some pics about our evening.

It was quite a memorable evening ...Collapse )

Hi, I'm home at last and have had a number of requests from people about about getting to the ramen shop. I'm going to do a post about my experience of getting there, it really was very easy. Stay tuned.

Oh Lordy you are soooo blessed to have met Kei's mom and to have eaten at their restaurant! What would I give to be in your place. Did you take any pictures with her? I read that she looks just like Kei only with darker hair and shorter and wears red lipstick. Another fangirl who visited the ramen restaurant reported that fact.

Thank you so much for that account you wrote and the pics you posted. I totally enjoyed reading yr post, hugs you (if you don't mind).

I'm only just home and catching up now, so sorry for the delay in responding.

Yes, there's a very strong family resemblance between them, and no, I didn't ask for a photo with her. I was quite comfortable doing that, maybe she would have agreed, but I didn't ask.

The thing that struck me though, when I went to the concert afterwards, that I thought they looked quite alike in profile because in person, for some reason, maybe just my fangirl haze, Kei-chan seemed even more attractive - pretty almost.

hugs back

Sorry for the delay in responding but I'm only just home from my trip and still trying to get caught up.

Yes, we did speak to her in Japanese and having even basic Japanese is a really useful thing when you're in Japan. It's rare to find people with much English at all, and it's so much easier to make yourself understood, even in broken Japanese.

I'd definitely recommend taking a course before you go. Start now XD
